Final: NC State Alabama

Raleigh, NC- On Saturday at the Isenhour Tennis Center, the NC State Women’s tennis team (3-0, 0-0) played host to the visiting Alabama Crimson TIde (2-0, 0-0). Both teams entered the contest coming off weekend double-header sweeps. The Pack swept Campbell and North Carolina Central after an opening win against the SMU Mustangs to extended their season opening win streak to 3. The Tide swept Furman and UAB in a home match last weekend

The day started with the doubles matches. The Wolfpack were able to earn the first point of the match as Amelia Rajecki and Maddy Zampardo were able to beat the Bama duo of Sedlackova and Parkhomenko6-3 and Sophie Abrams and Anna Zyryanova took down the previously undefeated doubles duo of Bencheikh and Hiser also 6-3.

The Pack continued to dominate in the singles matches as well taking the first two matches to give the Pack a 3-0 lead in a play to clinch match. Sophie Abrams was able to win her match over Ola Pitak in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Amelia Rajecki was also able to earn a straight set victory over Loudmilla Bencheikh 6-0, 6-2. Anna Zyryanova was able to earn the 4th and game clinching point with her straight set win 6-1, 6-4. The Pack improved to 4-0 on the season and await the winner of Iowa and Clemson. Next match is set for 3PM on Sunday.
